Performance of pieces (equivalent to RCM Grade 3); scales, chords and cadences in major and minor keys; harmonization of simple melodies utilizing a variety of accompaniments and style; sight reading of melodies, chorales, and simple two-part pieces. One hour.

Non-keyboard majors.
Exclusion
TMU105Y1. Incoming students whose major instrument is not keyboard may be granted exemption by passing a test during the first week of classes or showing proof of RCM Grade 3 Piano. Students obtaining advanced standing in TMU107Y1 may enrol in TMU105Y1.
